WE ARE OPEN

We are open for business.

The hotel is available for people visiting the nearby hospital in Basingstoke, either to see loved ones or for people working.

Room service is available for food and beverages so your stay can remain comfortable, and more importantly, safe.

Government Guidelines

As government guidelines change, so will we!

We will adapt to each eventuality with the main goal to ensure your safety and the quality in which we deliver our service to meet all of your needs.

Our Promise

Our promise to you is to ensure a safe and clean environment throughout the hotel.

We ask you to support us to ensure both you and our team are protected.

Your Arrival

  • Social distancing adhered to
  • Temperature screening
  • Hand sanitising stations available throughout the hotel, including reception
  • Hourly cleaning throughout all public areas
  • Designated One way walking routes
  • Credit card transactions only. Contactless if possible
  • Employees provided with facemasks or other suitable PPE
  • Payment taken on, or before, arrival

Your Departure

  • Social distancing adhered to
  • Invoices emailed
  • Key card drop off box
  • All key cards will go through sanitising process

Your Bedroom

  • Head housekeeper will inspect all bedrooms once cleaned
  • Room sealed once head housekeeper has finished
  • There will be no re-entry into that room until your arrival
  • All cups and cutlery will be cleaned in our dishwasher on a full-cycle at 85 degrees between each guest stay
  • Rooms will not be serviced during your stay
  • Additional towels/bedding provided upon request

Touch Point Areas of Bedrooms

We are focussed on all high frequency touch point areas within our bedrooms. These areas need most attention as they can lead to the spread of bacteria. When cleaning the bedrooms, we will pay special attention to all the touch point areas which include the following:

  • TV remote control
  • Lamps
  • Telephone
  • All handles including doors and windows
  • Desk and chair
  • Light switches and controls
  • Towel rail

Brasserie & Library Bar

  • Social distancing adhered to
  • Contactless payment
  • Table service only
  • Hand sanitising stations available
  • Disposable menus
  • Collection zone within the restaurant
  • Tables will be displayed as clean after going through cleaning process, only done once vacant
  • Single use seasoning and condiments
  • Employees provided with facemasks or other suitable PPE

Meetings

  • Sanitiser and antibacterial wipes in all rooms
  • Sanitiser stations set up around conference facilities
  • Social distancing adhered to
  • Individual water bottles with no glassware
  • Tea and coffee served to the meeting room
  • Room refreshed when vacant
  • Reduced numbers within meetings area

Horizons Gym and Pool – COVID Guidelines

Our priority remains to be your safety as well as the safety of the staff, so we will be strictly following the government recommendations and will enforce any number of new procedures, should things change.

Please regularly check back to see of any updates.

Entering & Exiting Horizons

  • Entrance to Horizons will be via the main hotel reception.
  • Face coverings must be used while in the hotel, including the changing facilities.
  • Revised opening times will be from 07.00 until 21.00, Monday through Friday.
  • We will open from 08.00 until 20.00 on Saturday and Sunday.
  • You will exit Horizons from the side door to the car park.

Staying Healthy

  • Any persons using Horizons must be healthy and have zero symptoms of Covid-19, as per the governments advice.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to the building, should we suspect any breeches of the governments advice.
  • If you are symptomatic of corona virus, you MUST not try to enter the premises.

Personal Details

  • Your details MUST be recorded upon each visit, to comply with the ‘track & trace’ guidelines.
  • Your temperature will also be taken.
  • We can not accept any member’s guests or day visitors, at this time.

Changing Rooms

  • The changing rooms are only to be used as an area to temporarily store your belongings.
  • You must arrive ‘beach ready’ for your sessions.
  • We must try and restrict usage to be limited to FOUR persons at any one time within a changing room (unless it is a family bubble).
  • The areas around Horizons will be sanitised every hour, or as required subject to usage.
  • Any items left behind in the changing rooms or other areas will be removed to our waste disposal area.

User Numbers

  • Users will be limited to only 10 persons in the pool at one time and only 10 persons to using the gym at one time.
  • You are advised to exercise for no more than one hour, in either the pool or the gym.
  • We are currently not planning to operate a booking system.
  • If there happens to be a high demand, persons may be asked to wait in the hotel lounge.
  • Over the coming months there will be no classes taking place within the pool. This will be revised at a future date.

Swimming Pool

  • You will be delighted to know that the pool area and the changing rooms have been refurbished during lockdown.
  • We can only allow 10 persons in the pool at one time.
  • These numbers in the swimming pool MUST allow for social distancing.
  • The areas around Horizons will be sanitised every hour, or as required subject to usage.
  • The hotel will not be issuing any towels.
  • Any items left behind in the changing rooms or other areas will be removed to our waste disposal area.
  • Over the coming months there will be no classes taking place within the pool. This will be revised at a future date.

Horizons Gym

  • We can only allow 10 persons in the gym at one time.
  • These numbers MUST allow for social distancing.
  • Certain gym equipment will be closed for use, to allow suitable social distancing.
  • The areas around Horizons will be sanitised every hour, or as required subject to usage.
  • The hotel will not be issuing any towels.
  • Any items left behind in the changing rooms or other areas will be removed to our waste disposal area.
